Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of the after school program (including, but not limited to, academic enrichment, sports and recreation, visual and performing arts, health/nutrition, technology, environmental/outdoor education)

Building relationships with students,parents, and volunteers

Recruit and enroll students into the program

Promote participation of students, school staff, volunteers, and parents.

Maintain student attendance records

Keep a consistent headcount on all children present at site and communicate participant changes with all other staff

Adhere to grant and Office of Children and Family Services requirements

Maintain a safe program space to ensure student success

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Two years of college level courses (48 units) work in child development or a related field
-
Two years of experience working with children such as academic enrichment, visual/performing arts, health/nutrition, technology, sports/recreation, etc. is preferred

Displays elevated levels of empathy and understanding for students, parents, and community partners

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive)

Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures and populations

Commitment to The Living Well’s mission and values

Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Must be able to pass a background check
Professional Expectations:
The Site Coordinator will present a competent and positive image of The Living Well Mission through the professional and safe coordination of all after school programming, quantified by completion of the key areas of responsibility and continuous improvement of the program and systems.
Additionally, the Site Coordinator will exhibit and represent behaviors consistent with The Living Well Mission’s competency guidelines.
The first 90 days of employment are considered a trial period at which time performance will be evaluated by the Executive Director.
Compensation:
This is a grant funded position and will be reviewed each year.
Personnel policy governs work conditions and benefits.
Salary: $21/ hour
Hours: 25 hours/week for 42 weeks out of the year; must be available until 5:30pm on weekdays.
